Invitation to Conference: Digital technologies for connecting museums with the public audience (Oct. 27)

On October 27, 2021, DPECH working group is honored to co-organize the Conference “Digital Technologies for Connecting the Museums with Public Audiences” hosted by The Museum of Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups in collaboration with other partners. Details of the workshop are as follows:

With the desire of updating information and sharing practical effects that digital technology brings to activities of cultural heritage conservation and education to museums, the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups (MCVE) in collaboration with the DPECH working group, Human Machine Interaction Laboratory- University of Engineering and Technology, Hanoi, International Academy of European Funding EGInA and CRHACK LAB FOLIGNO 4D, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Vietnam Youth Museum, Thai Nguyen Provincial  Museum, Quang Ninh Museum, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum, Da Nang Museum…. to organize a conference with the theme “Digital technology for connecting museums with the public audience” which is based at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups and online via Zoom. 

Time of the workshop: Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

 14:00-16:30 Vietnam time, 9:00-11:30 Italy time (Reception and welcoming cultural performance starts from 13:40 Vietnam time)

Language: Vietnamese-English (interpretation in Zoom)

Registration fee: Free.

DPECH-AEP 2021 seminar has been organized successfully on July 29, 2021

On July 29, 2021, DPECH working group has successfully organized the first Seminar with the theme Digital Preservation and Education of Cultural Heritage: Asian-European Perspectives (# DPECHAEP2021).

The seminar included 12 presentations from experts and practitioners on digital cultural heritage from: EGInA, CRHACK Lab (Italy), University of Extremadura (Spain), Sofia St Kliment Ohridski University (Bulgaria), University of Dublin (Ireland), #Kachinlifestories Project (Singapore), Digital Archives Project on Cultural Heritage of ASEAN Secretariat,… Vietnam National University, Hanoi (University of Technology and Vietnam Japan University), RMIT Vietnam, Vietnam Institute for Religious Studies, Citadel Research Institute, and Thang Long University. The seminar was attended and enthusiastically discussed by nearly 120 participants from countries around the world.

DPECH-AEP 2021 seminar was held with the chairmanship of the Museum of Cultures of Ethnic Groups and the cooperation of: Human Machine Interaction Laboratory, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Technology, Vietnam National University Hanoi, VNU Vietnam Japan University, European Grants International Academy (EGInA), CRHACK LAB FOLIGNO 4D.

The organizers have received many ideas to contribute to continue building the DPECH network and determine the future direction. We hope that DPECH will open up many opportunities for cooperation between individuals and organizations in Vietnam, ASEAN, Europe, and the world in the field of digital cultural heritage.
