DPECH is a working group in the field of Digital Preservation and Education of Cultural Heritage. Its co-founders would want to connect people from diverse backgrounds in different areas in the world to form meaningful collaborations and initiatives to make cultural heritage more alive in the society with the help of digital technologies. ONLINE CONFERENCE ON “DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FOR CONNECTING MUSEUMS WITH THE PUBLIC AUDIENCE” (OCTOBER 27, 2021)

On October 27, 2021, DPECH working group is honored to co-organize the Conference “Digital Technologies for Connecting the Museums with Public Audiences” hosted by The Museum of Cultures of Ethnic Groups of Vietnam in collaboration with other partners. Details of the workshop are as follows (view more)

With the desire of updating information and sharing practical effects that digital technology brings to activities of cultural heritage conservation and education to museums, the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups (MCVE) in collaboration with the DPECH working group, Human Machine Interaction Laboratory- University of Engineering and Technology, Hanoi, International Academy of European Funding EGInA and CRHACK LAB FOLIGNO 4D, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Vietnam Youth Museum, Thai Nguyen Provincial Museum, Quang Ninh Museum, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum, Da Nang Museum…. to organize a conference with the theme “Digital technology for connecting museums with the public audience”. The conference is based at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups and is online via Zoom.

Europeana Workshop, “Storing and collecting to promote cultural heritage”, presented by DPECH (October 05, 2021)

The Europeana web platform (Europeana.eu) is Europe’s digital library, museum, gallery and archive, providing online access to a vast store of cultural heritage material and collections from across Europe.

The project aims to empower the cultural heritage sector in its digital transformation developing expertise, tools and policies to embrace digital change and encourage partnerships that foster innovation. The platform makes access to cultural heritage easier for education, research, creation and recreation, contributing to an open, knowledgeable and creative society.

Europeana brings together cultural heritage professionals from all domains and from all of Europe through the Europeana Network Association, the Europeana Aggregators’ Forum, diverse projects and partnerships, physical and digital events and promotion campaigns. The founders imagine a cultural heritage sector powered by digital and a Europe powered by culture, giving it a resilient, growing economy, increased employment, improved well-being and a sense of European identity.

The workshop held by Altheo Valentini, Chair of the Educational Community of Europeana will describe Europeana’s format, a European good practice in the field of digital culture, and explain how to make a good use of this tool for educational activities. ONLINE SEMINAR ON DIGITAL PRESERVATION AND EDUCATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE: ASIAN – EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVES (DPECH-AEP), JULY 29, 2021

In order to update information and share practices of digital preservation and education of cultural heritage in Vietnam, Asia and Europe, The Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups (MCVE) in Thai Nguyen is collaborating with Vietnam National University, Hanoi – University of Engineering and Technology, Human Machine Interaction Lab, VNU – Vietnam Japan University, European Grants International Academy (EGInA) and CRHACK LAB FOLIGNO 4D to organize the Seminar on “Digital Preservation and Education of Cultural Heritage: Asian – European Perspectives”. The seminar provides a forum for researchers, policy makers, cultural practitioners, educators, students,… from Vietnam, Asia, Europe and the world to exchange ideas, practices and foster multidisciplinary, multi-area collaborations in the field (view more).
